About Us

Our approach is intentionally simple: reduce noise, find the real drivers, and translate analysis into data-driven decisions. 


Most owner-led businesses do not have a data problem; they have a decision problem. There is revenue, there are expenses, there is effort, but the story does not line up. When the story does not line up, owners often default to working harder, cutting random costs, or chasing a new growth idea. 


Camden Strategy Group exists to interrupt that cycle through our consulting services. We build a clear picture of what is happening underneath the surface and provide you with a practical path forward, with tradeoffs stated plainly. 


If the answer is 'you are fine, you just need a few fixes,' we will say that. If the answer is 'this model is leaking cash,' we will say that too.

Owner-led businesses with real operations and real overhead, typically in home services, professional services, healthcare-adjacent businesses, and local multi-location operators, usually doing somewhere between $500K and $3M in annual revenue. 


You likely have a bookkeeper or CPA already. You may have a few employees or a growing team. Revenue is coming in, but the story underneath it feels unclear or inconsistent. If that describes you, you are probably the right fit.

Bookkeepers and CPAs focus on accurate records and compliance. Traditional marketing firms often focus on growth strategy or marketing execution. Camden Strategy Group sits in between.


Our work is analytical and decision-focused. We take the financial and operational data you already have and clarify what is actually driving performance. The goal is not more reports. The goal is a clear, defensible decision about what to change, what to stop, or what to double down on.


If you already have a CPA or bookkeeper, we work alongside them. We do not replace them.


At minimum, we need basic financial statements and a short working conversation about how the business actually operates. For most engagements, that includes recent P&Ls, high-level revenue breakdowns, and any operational metrics you already track.


You do not need perfect data. You need usable data. Part of our job is helping you determine what is directionally reliable versus what is noise.


After the free consultation call, you will receive a short scope outline that makes expectations clear on both sides.


Most owners reach out when something feels misaligned. Revenue may be stable, but profit is inconsistent. Workload may be increasing, but cash is not. Growth may be happening, but margins are unclear.


If the outcome of our work gives you clarity on where profit is actually created and what to change first, the return is typically obvious. If during the consultation it becomes clear that you do not need outside analysis, we will tell you that directly.


The free consultation exists for exactly that reason: to determine whether this is relevant before you commit to anything.


Most engagements wrap within two to three weeks from the point we have the data we need. 


The timeline depends on the complexity of the business and how quickly we can align on scope after the initial consultation. We will give you a clear expectation in the scope outline before any work begins.


Engagements are scoped individually based on the complexity of your business and what we are trying to answer. 


There is a fixed fee for the core analysis, with any additional work agreed upon upfront before it begins. You will know exactly what you are paying before we start. 


The free consultation is the right place to get a sense of what your engagement would look like.


Sometimes yes, sometimes no, and the honest answer depends on your specific operations. A lot of owner-operators are being told that AI can solve problems it cannot actually solve yet, at least not reliably or cost-effectively at the SMB level.


Part of what we do is help you cut through that noise. Where AI tools can genuinely reduce operational friction, we will tell you. Where they are likely to create more complexity than they resolve, we will tell you that too.


The goal is the same as everything else we do: a clear, practical answer rather than a trendy one.
